One of the best ways to get around your mindset that “lifting heavy will make me bulky” is to look at household objects.
There’s things you pickup everyday and you don’t question how much it weighs before lifting it.
- Your purse
- Your kids
- Your Amazon boxes
- Your groceries
These things just need to be lifted and you rise to the occasion. But when we are the gym, it makes it so convenient when all the weights are labeled with numbers.
Imagine if the things I listed above had pounds listed on them. Would you stop and question if you should lift your purse or kids?
Of course not.
We aren’t training for the gym, we are training for life.
We want you to be capable to lift and move whatever object you need to because you lift MORE in the gym.
That way these household objects are a walk in the park.
We want you to be the person that gets called on when the lid to the jar is too tight. HA!
